Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. Drive toward Materuni Village, located on the green slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Upon arrival, meet your local village guide and begin a scenic walk through coffee farms, banana plantations, and lush tropical vegetation. Along the way, learn about Chagga traditions, local plants, and village life.
After approximately 45 minutes of hiking, arrive at the spectacular Materuni Waterfalls, cascading nearly 90 meters into a natural pool surrounded by rainforest scenery. Spend time relaxing, taking photos, or enjoying a refreshing swim.
Return to the village for a traditional hot local lunch prepared by the community.
In the afternoon, participate in an interactive coffee-making experience. Learn how local Arabica coffee is grown, dried, roasted, and prepared traditionally by the Chagga people. You’ll even roast and grind your own coffee while enjoying traditional songs and dances.
Enjoy freshly brewed organic coffee before beginning your return transfer to Moshi or Arusha.
